On Thursday, January 23/2020, the Iraqi Hypertension Society  held a scientific symposium in Al-Anbar Governorate in cooperation with the Anbar Health Department and Mylan Pharmaceutical Company. The scientific symposium was opened with the words of Professor Dr. Ghazi Farhan Haji, President of the Iraqi Hypertension Society  and a speech by the dean of  of Al-Anbar College of Medicine The symposium featured a memorial ceremony of Dr. Muhammad Tafish, a distinguished cardiothoracic surgeon, during which the deceased family was honored with the shield of the Iraqi Hypertension Society, presented by Professor Dr. Ghazi Haji, President of the Society After that, the scientific session started, in which the lecturers delivered the important topics related to hypertension, while presenting some Echocardiographic case scenarios  , followed by  scientific discussion and questions to the lecturers. Members of the Iraqi Society and professors from the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad in addition to a lecturer from Al-Anbar College of Medicine were actively participated in the conference.
