The Iraqi Cardiothoracic Society and the Iraqi Hypertension Society held a scientific summit entitled “Invitation letter to: Heart Health” in Coral Village on Friday, December 27, 2024, under the auspices of the Al-Hayat Scientific Office. Three lectures were presented during this meeting, the first of which was given by Dr. Raed Sabry, Interventional Cardiologist, entitled “Heart Rate & Heart Failure ”, in which he discussed the relationship between heart rate and HF outcome in terms of morbidity and mortality in addition to numbers of hospitalizations with special attention to the favorable role of ivabradin in this regard. Assistant Professor Dr. Mu’ayyad Bashir gave a brief overview on the latest 2024 ESC Hypertension Guidelines and the new classifications of hypertension. The third speaker was Dr. Hassan Al-Gharbawi, who gave a lecture entitled “Saving Lives through Hypertension Control”. He talked about the short and long-term benefits of controlling BP and the simplified ways of giving drugs to the patient to promote adherence.The scientific session were moderated by Prof. Muthanna Al-Quraishi, President of the Iraqi Cardiovascular Society, and prof Ghazi  Haji, President of the Iraqi Hypertension Society. A large group of doctors and pharmacists, in addition to representatives of the Al-Hayat Scientific Office, attended the session.
